Delivering Justice

Art as Advocacy for the Traveller Community

Delivering Justice is a creative initiative aimed at highlighting the ongoing marginalisation of the Traveller community in Labre Park, Dublin through storytelling, mail art, community stamp-making, and public actions.

Delivering Justice is a creative, community-led initiative highlighting the ongoing marginalisation of the Traveller community in Labre Park, Dublin. Co-created by myself, artist and community development worker Sinéad Clancy with the Labre Park Women’s Group and the Ballyfermot Traveller Action Project, the project focuses on a seemingly small but deeply significant issue: the denial of postal services to the site. Through storytelling, mail art, community stamp-making, and public actions, the project documents the lived impact of postal exclusion - revealing it as part of a wider pattern of systemic neglect. By placing Traveller women at the centre of the artistic and advocacy process, Delivering Justice challenges institutional indifference while celebrating resilience, creativity, and community solidarity. This project uses art as a tool for visibility, resistance, and collective empowerment, amplifying personal experiences to spark urgent conversations about equality, access, and justice.
