Leisure in the Liberties
Shifting perspectives to change narratives, spark engagement, and support community initiatives.

A research-based project reactivating a 1986 community development plan through installation and interactive mapping, fostering engagement, conversation, and support for local initiatives in Dublin’s Liberties
Conceived as part of a place-based practice lab, Leisure in the Liberties explored public engagement through the unique archive of the South Inner City Community Development Association (SICCDA) in Meath Street, Dublin Liberties. In collaboration with Caoimhe Cronin, Cleide Regina Oliveira, and SICCDA, the project took a 1986 Development Plan from the archive as its starting point, reactivating it through installation and interactive mapping to spark conversation and connect with local campaigns for progress. By shifting perspectives, the practice aims to change narratives, provoke engagement and participation, and support community initiatives
